Reintroducing the 8 Series

8 Series

Hello BMW lovers,

Here at Leith BMW, we are proud to reintroduce to you the new BMW 8 Series! It’s finally here! As some of you may know, BMW has replaced the 6 Series with the new 8 Series. Along with this replacement, you are gaining more interior space which will allow your backseat to be a more comfortable ride. How could you not love that?

Going back with a little history, the 8 Series first design work began in 1984 with a final design in 1986. The 8 Series was introduced in 1989 at the Frankfort Motor Show as the E31 BMW 8 Series. It was designed to outdo the E24 6 Series with greater performance and of course a higher price. The E31 was the first car to offer a V-12 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Production for the E31 8 Series ended in 1999 due to the lack of sales. Now here we are 20 years later with the new and improved 8 Series! It’s back and it’s better!

8 Series

The 8 Series can now come as a Coupe, Gran Coupe and Convertible. To make things even better, BMW is also offering the M8 Coupe, Gran Coupe and Convertible! You can’t get better than that! The M8 Coupe is really turning heads! It has a 4.4-liter V-8 engine that delivers 617 horsepower and an astonishing 0-60 in 3.0 seconds. Amazing, right? Well, that’s not all. The M8 also comes with plenty of cool features such as all-wheel-drive option, adjustable exhaust modes, the 8-speed M STEPTRONIC transmission with Drivelogic which will let you switch from automatic to manual shifting for a more hands-on feel, the integrated brake system and so much more. Head on over to Leith BMW to check out the variety of the new and improved 8 Series!!!
