BMW now introduces Digital Key for Apple iPhones. BMW is the world’s first car maker to offer this groudbreaking, innovative feature. What an exciting time for BMW and BMW customers. The Digital Key is now available for use on iPhones for BMWs model year 2021, produced after July 2020. Using the BMW Digital Key requires the live cockpit with the BMW operating system 7, the Comfort Access option, and an iPhone with software version iOS 13.6 or higher.
The Digital Key now allows you to use your iPhone as a key! How awesome is that? You can lock, unlock and start your BMW using your iPhone. You can save the key in your Apple Wallet and use it so easily. You may also share your Digital Key with up to five people and revoke their access at any time within seconds.
